Fireplace makeover using paint on tiles

After decorating this large room with Farrow & Ball ‘St Antoine’ wallpaper, the existing pink floral tiles in the fireplace needed a cheap facelift until we could afford to replace them. We sanded the surfaces down, then cleaned and primed them, before finishing them with two coats of Farrow & Ball Estate Eggshell to match the ceiling and upper walls. Really pleased with the result – no chipping or flaking, or any heat damage from the fire, which is used regularly.
